Our kit comes with all the specialized parts we use to convert a stock SVX to a five speed transmission. The installation time is approximately 30-40 hours for a competent mechanic doing his first installation. There is some welding and a fair amount of cutting, fitting as well as wiring. Instructions are included with necessary wiring diagrams and templates. With the help of this kit, most installers will be able to have a much better looking and better operating 5 speed than if they were to fabricate the parts themselves.
The kit is designed to use a transmission from a 2.5L or a WRX with a hydraulic clutch mechanism. Most all the parts will work for the cable clutch transmissions but the instructions do not cover all aspects of that conversion.
